Due to the low rating count, I should have saved this and shared it - but it’s all mine! Hazy muddy brown coloured body with a very thin tan head. Aroma of strong maple syrup, meat, roasted malt, mushrooms and a touch of fruits and caramel. Medium-bodied; Assertive strong and meaty flavours with a dose of malt, some caramel and a lot of maple syrup and alcohol. Aftertaste shows a bunch of brown sugars, molasses and some deep malt. Overall, a good and potent strong autumn/winter beer that shows a lot of complexity. I sampled this 37.5 cL ’split’ bottle purchased from Mondo Vino in Denver, Colorado on 12-February-2010, sampled on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 30-May-2010 - wax marked on the top for 2009.

12oz bottle. Hazy brown-tan color. Thin beige head. Sweet artificial berry aroma. I can dig a good fruit beer, but this really isn’t that great. Medium bodied, easy and watery. The fruit character is straight up artificial, and not very enjoyable at that. The blueberry and raspberry tend to cancel each other’s subtle nuances away. An embarrassingly insipid beer, unimpressive. A little darker malt than your typical fruit beer, again doesn’t really work. Not horrible, but certainly not recommended.

Honey and copious amounts of cocoa dominate the palate. Chocolate malt nose. Very interesting. Rated 10/10/09

Maple nut molasses flavor. Hint of pancake syrup. Some nuttiness. This one’s not for everyone, but I tend to like the "odd ducks" of beer, so I dig this one. Rated 10/18/10

12oz bottle. Glowing amber-brown. Sweet, nutty, malty aroma. A little sweet and sugary at times, but still has some really nice lager yeast depth. Smooth fruity bock aftertaste. Lots of caramel flavor. A pretty well done Dopplebock, Creamy, quite drinkable for the ABV.

12oz bottle. Thick, cloudy peach color. Nice foamy head. A pretty decent US Wheat Ale, with the yeasty graininess merging with the creamy yeast. The lemon grass is not intense, and I might not have picked it out unless I was informed. Being aware, however, I do get some almost minty herbal characteristics in the balancing bitterness. A nice example of an American Wheat. I feel awkward giving it a 4, but it really is superb for the style.

12oz maple. Creamy red brown, the color fits the style well. Mellow sweet toffee aroma. Maple syrup certainly comes across. Malty, nutty..a pretty decent Brown Ale. Easy and mellow, quite sessionable. Some distant sandy hop bitterness balances it out. A well executed Brown, quite enjoyable.

12oz bottle. Hazy, golden bronze color. Oily, thin head. Fruity, with some English qualities. Medium bodied, the alcohol is well hidden in the mild, soapy bitterness. Even so, the strength is a tad awkward for the style, sometimes a little too brash. Probably pretty nice fresh at the brewery, but after months in the bottle it isn’t that exciting.
