Bottle. Although the label says \"Amber lager,\" pour is more like a dark, dark amber (or maybe tarnished penny color). Head is minimal and aromas are of sweet malts and dust. I recoiled from the first sip... don’t know if it hit me just wrong or what, but things got better after tht. Still, flavors are a dull mix of sweet malts and a bit of a spice presence. I’m not sure if I’m broken or what, but I’m just not appreciating this very much.

Bottle. Appearance is a slighty hazy gold with minimal carbonation after a smallish, white head forms. Aromas are thick with bready malt and grass but also contain a bit of a funky smell... like old shoes or something. Flavor is nice enough... bread and grass with a slight ammount of peppery hops. Not bad, not great.

Yes, ornery is certainly appropriate here. Yeasty bready dough smell, sometimes quite aromatic. Taste is rather raw. A little obtuse on the bitterness. Difficult to enjoy once it starts to warm. Orange brown in color. ong lingering medicinal bitterness on the finish. No way is this an american dark lager. More like a IPA or stronger APA. If it is an ADL, it’s one of the lest enjoyable I’ve had. Probably an insult to the style I affectionally know as gentle american dark lager.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright berry red color with a medium sized khaki head. The aroma was musty and off with a light berry undertone. The flavor was tart and tangy blueberry and other vague berries that turns a bit dry towards the long, tart finish. Nice but with notable flaws.

Weirdly orange brown with a pink rose hue. lots of rolling carbonation within but it does not have that bubble on the palate. Very unique aroma which is sweet yet almost repulsive and slightly volatile. On the tongue some kinda a berry is detected in there but it has a different flavor than anything I tasted as a fruit beer. Yes, there is a hint of sourness or lambic nay I say, but is is not really palatable sourness. Goes down but could not drink two of these in a row.

Pours copper with a good white head. Nose is of berries, ale and a soapy/watery smell. The aroma has the staple Tommyknocker mapple malt and this seems to really overtake the fruity aroma of all the berries. The mix of berries is noticable but remains hidden, and it adds a mouthfeel that reminds me of a sweet cough syrup. It’s a good ale, not to be confused with a fruity wheat.

Bottle from a sampler. Dark brown pour with no head. Nutty maple aroma. Nutty maple taste. This really lives up to its name. If you’re not a fan of maple, you’ll find the taste a bit much, but if you love maple like me, this is pretty good.
