Bottle @ Dorst, Eizeringen. Pours Hazy yellow with a White head. Nose is hoppy and yeasty. Lots of corn and Wet socks. Farmhouse feel. Cowweb. Flavor gets more Pleasant. Sweet mandarin slash lemon and Crispy dry hops. Bitter finish.

Bottle @ home shared with Inoven. Hazy yellow golden color, full sized off-white head. Aroma is mostly herbal / spices. Flavor is malts, again herbal / spices though not in a bad way, some yeast, somewhat sweetish like ripe mandarins but only shortly as soft to moderate citrussy fruity notes take over. Maybe even a slight citrussy bitter hint in the finish. This is quite an interesting beer I must admit. Didn't like the aroma much but the flavor makes up for that easily. Very well brewed imo. Definitely worth a try.

Flesje gedeeld door Benzai. Goudgeel troebel bier, heftig schuimend tijdens inschenken en schuim blijft uiteindelijk als een film liggen. Aroma is licht kruidig. De smaak is fruitig als van mandarijn en kruidig. Ook in de nasmaak komen de kruiden en de specerijen naar boven.

Clear to slightly hazy orange blond beer, big fizzy aery white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit chemical, sweet, apples and pears, bit weird. MF: very lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: lemony, bit sourish, acidic, wheat, some yeast. Aftertaste: lots of lemon, bit artificial, sourish, soapy, soft bitterness. Went well with the mussels.

MF: very lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: lemony, bit sourish, acidic, wheat, some yeast. Aftertaste: lots of lemon, bit artificial, sourish, soapy, soft bitterness. Went well with the mussels.

For the heck of it: rating #1400 goes to this one - cheers to kraddel for the idea, the suggestion and the elaborate explanation that came along. Pours hazy dark brown with a lasting, small, frothy, tan head. Intense aroma of brown rum, burnt caramel, sweet wort even, stewed plum, candied prune, molasses, pear syrup, cold tea, cookie dough. Taste is - quite unmistakably - heavy malty sweet, lots of dough, plum, caramel & molasses, cake-like; leaving some room for a light herbal bitterness, tea-like, some spicy licorice too, faint hint of raisin. Dryish, malty finish, faintly herbal hoppy, lingering thick syrup, plum, dough; warming kahlua or even brown rum-like alcohol. Full body (to say the least), syrupy texture, soft carbonation. A beer that knocks you out with its malt hammer and thick body; tasty but also quite hard to finish on your own. Good stuff!

33cl bottle. A almost clear golden beer with a mid-sized most good lasting white head. Aroma of sweet pale malt, yellow fruits, yeast. Taste of yeasty pale malt, sweet malt, yellow fruits. Simple brew.

Gekregen van een collega op 21-4-2018. En thuis geproefd op 29-09-2018. Gronckel Blond is een helder blond biertje dat bij het uitgieten maar weinig wit schuim maakt in de vorm van een gelijkmatige laag. Het blijft sterk aan het glas kleven en zakt nogal vlug in elkaar, op het eind blijft er bijna niets meer van over. Toch is er veel CO2 pareling te zien met belletjes van een gemiddelde grootte.
Aroma: marsepein zoetig, met fruitigheid van citrus, passievrucht en perzik. Bisquit en graanmout.
De smaak is licht bitter en wat zoetig, fruitigheid krijg je met mandarijn en passievrucht, wat graanmout, jeneverbes en peper kan je smaken.
Kwa mondgevoel geeft Gronckel Blond een volle body met een volmondige textuur en een normale koolzuurgasbeleving. Je kan het een harmonieus biertje noemen.
De nasmaak vloeit uit, is lichtjes plakkerig, bitterig, zoetig en zeer licht droog. Ook de citrus, de mandarijn, de passievrucht de bisquit- en graanmout en de peper zijn hier nog aanwezig.

33cl bottle. A clear pale golden beer with a huge most good lasting white head. Aroma of aromatic bitter hops, yellow fruits, citrus, flowers. Taste of moderate bitter citrusy hops, yellow fruits, flowers, hay, medium body, easy to drink!
