Description
We are The Curious Brewery. Where flavour and passion comes first. We believe in trying to create things that others can’t.

Our reason for being is to inspire people to stay curious. To question. To celebrate. To smile more. And to never graduate from the school of life. We decided to make the best-tasting beer and cider, using just the best quality ingredients brewed at our state of the art Brewery in Ashford, Kent, United Kingdom.

Curious bought Wild Beer Co out of administration in a deal that involved the beer brands and intellectual property of Wild Beer Co, but not its Somerset-based brewery production facilities. The Curious and Wild Beer Co businesses were transfered into the hands of St Peter’s in 2023.

33cl bottle. Clear orange colour with a thin head. Aroma of pale malts, hops, citrus fruit, berry fruit, some floral notes. Somewhat muted compared to most IPAs. Taste is also quite malty for an IPA, sweet caramel, fruity citrus hops, berries. Soft carbonation, oily texture, nice bitter finish. Nice, but an atypical IPA.

330ml bottle @ Black Griffin, Canterbury. Pours extremely pale with a light greenish hint. Aroma is light sweet apple. Taste is easy-going, sparkling, medium-sweet cider with a mild artificial apple tone. Curiously devoid of any natural apple fruit.

Bottle at Artisan Tap, Bedford. Mid-gold with a big white head. Lots of carbonation. Floral and light vinous scent, with grass and candy sugar. Wow, really nice and unexpected. Taste is less impressive, a simple sweetness with only a hint of tempering bitterness. For a lager, this is excellent although it would struggle to hold its own among ’proper’ beer.

Bottle @ pub in Pett. Clear blond colour, white foam. Lots of carbonation. Very watery with light malty base. You’re better drinking sparkling water than this. Same taste but cheaper.
