Malt and spice on the nose. a light white head on a yellow-amber body. Zesty lemon hoppiness supported by tropical elements lead the taste profile of this punchy saison. A hint of orange, bready malt and a hint of graininess underpin a tasty and hoppy offering. Clean and refreshing with great unity. A richer body than most saisons.

Sweet fruity nose with a hint of sourness. This is a well made and refreshing saison. The Sweet mango leads the taste profile, supported by a dry yeast element, some pepper and very understated bready malt. The hint of sourness in the nose doesn’t survive into the taste. Finishes dry and clean. A very nice taste accomplishment at 4.8% abv

A relatively mild nose featuring cocoa, roasted malt and a hint of Belgian yeast. Taste profile features chocolate, cocao, cream, nuts, mild coffee, Belgian yeast (but it is not overdone) and rich dark berries. Solid mouth feel and body. Well balanced, rich and complex.

A DIPA with a difference. Starts with a fairly mild malt and vegetal nose. Beautiful orange/amber body with a thin well laced white head. The brown sugar malt leads the taste profile but quickly gets more challenging with gnarley grapefruit and earthy hops, prunes, vegetal, oak and woody elements. Some challenging tastes, but Beau’s isn’t afraid of doing that. There is a slight warmth from the booze, strong effervescence and a slight metallic edge as well. The blend keeps coming together as the beer breaths and approaches room temperature. A nice creation but I won’t be coifing one of these every night

A punchy citrus and chewy malt nose. Really nice complexity in the hop profile - hits of pine, lemon, grapefruit and tropical fruit work together to create a juicy fresh impact. The malt is very soft and bready with a hint of caramel. The taste finishes with a touch of pepper and a well sustained, blended flavour.

Another sterling creation from the Beau’s pro/am series. The nose is of dark, robust coffee with hints of dark berries. Very rich black body with a fluffy tan head. The taste revolves around a nicely roasted coffee base with appropriate malt support, milk, some bitter chocolate and a nice hint of dark berries and dates. The edge of the roasted coffee sustains through the aftertaste, but in balance with the other elements. This is no amateur concoction!

An orange-amber body with moderate, soft off-white head. The nose is substantial with big fresh Grapefruit and pine hops, and bready malt. The taste mirrors the nose, but is slightly more subdued. Low astringency hops feature grapefruit and some lemon accents. But equally impressive are the very present soft bready malts. Not a real hop bomb of an AIPA, but a well balanced and very enjoyable example of the style.

473ml can from Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Downtown cantina. Amber orange pour. Creamy beige head. Toasted malt aroma hints at toffee and nuts. Flavor is more of the same. Sweet toasted malt, toffee, toasted walnuts and herbal hops. Smooth and flavorful. Brief, dry finish.

Can from LCBO. This comes off a bit strange. Looks par for the type, sure, but the taste...its mild orange, backed by heavier citrus pith, with a even bitter on the finish. This over a general bready malt. It feels like there is a hole in the taste profile of this beer, like there is some hoppiness missing up front. It's not bad, but ... lacking?

A clean, light-golden colour with very tiny unfiltered particles, a small whitish head, average retention and a little ring left. Beautiful, fresh cereal malts in the nose with a touch of sweetness. A crisp mouthfeel with a nice, light drying finish. The cereal grain continue in the flavours with just a tad of hops. Quite a nice, refreshing, crisp Light beer with real ingredients - no fill ins.
