I had a couple of ~2 oz samples at the Boulevardia Taps & Tastes in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is hazed orange golden with not much of a white head. The aroma is tropical fruit; pineapple, mango all a bit floral. Caramel malt is also present, though behind the hops. The taste is bursting fresh pineapple mango floral hops, bit of straw, and then caramel malt grain in the back. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation and drying hops in the finish. The hops really stood out at the festival, I had been on sours for awhile, and this was a great change of pace.

0.65l bottle from Bierkoning. This is a really good looking heavy cloudy really bright orange one with a big kinda bubbly white head with great retention. A bit surprising aroma to be honest. Not sure what it was expecting, but not this. It has a really sweet and super floral nose with lots of interesting hard to put words on nuances. Citrus and tropical juice that has been standing in a warm place is perhaps the best description I can make. There is also a swift of alcohol, wheat and flour as well. Really easy to drink. It tastes a bit different from the aroma. It's not nearly as sweet as I would have thought. The mouthfeel here is light oily and it has a below average prickling carbonation level. I get a good amount of hay and grass in the taste. A bit like fresh cut grass with a little citrus juices and a blood orange bitterness. It's really lightdrinkable and really interesting. Ends with a fair amount of alcohol in the aftertaste. This could be any genre in the world - but far from what I would think of when I think of a mild. Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, caramel malts, "knekk", nuts, malt candy, hay, roasted grain, chocolate. Taste is slightly dry, caramel malts, hay, roasted grain, alcohol, malt candy, "knekk", grass. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

0.65l bottle from Bierkoning. It's quite on the cloudy side this with its dark wood amber color and medium sized bubbly and fading off-white head. The nose has a nice gentle fruitiness. I get a little malty sweetness, kinda wort-ish and there are traces of chocolate and bitter un-roasted coffee beans. Some cocoa and nuts as well. Or is it perhaps yeast? In a strange way the aroma is not that bad, and I'm daring to say that I actually kinda like it. As expected not much resistance in the taste, but it definitely has some flavor this puppy. The dark chocolate paper sticks it head out, I get some more of that sweet wort found in the aroma. It has a light, but definitely not thin but light mouthfeel and the carbonation is just below average and near prickling. It's really mild, sessional and quite tasty. Could drink lots of this in one setting. It reminds me much of Kinns Manna. Ends with a little bit of bitter coffee and cocoa powder. Totally completely different from it's elder brothers, and really interesting. 04.10.2013

0.65 bottle from De Molen beer shop shared with Inbreak @ Train to Leiden. A really lovely looking head on this. Fantastic lacings, white in color and fluffy in texture. This on top of a near clear dark golden body. Subtle and mild grassy nose on this. Some nice mild sweetness as well with hints if grains and fruits. It tastes pretty mild also, but it's one of those not to boring bitters this. It has a really good grassy punch in the taste, some rhubarb and red currants . About average+ on the carbonation and light oily on the mouthfeel. Can give it credit for a for a really good grassy burp. I kinda like this. A good train trip back to the hotel after Borefts. 28.09.2013

0.65l bottle brought home from Mikkeller & Friends. I just really like this little brewery. In the glass this one has a light cloudy deep orange body with a small bubbly, lingering and definitely lacing bright white head. It's quite fruity and inviting on the nose. Almost tropical fruit with melon and peaches. Not over hopped-fruity but more subtle and calmed down with traces of bread. Lots of sweetness also here. Could be honey melon I smell. Mild grassy as well and it smells quite nice. It's really different in the taste! Is it a supercharged golden English ale or something? It has a good oily feeling in the mouth and the bubbles are only prickling, soft and somewhat comfortable in the mouth. All sorts of ripe fruits in the taste but the kicker is the peppery almost spicy thing that comes in the finish. Bitter blood orange with lots of yeast references. In the finish besides the peppery spicy heat there is also a good amount of alcohol. I have no idea what kind of beer this is, but I'm quite enjoying this peculiar little mouse thingy. 23.01.2014

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours hazy light gold with a white head. Aroma is slightly cooked bready with hints of hop. Med body. Flavor is cooked bready with noble hop, and it develops a lot of bitterness in the finish. Fairly flavorful.

Bomber bought @ Bierkompass.de. Pours slightly hazy reddish brown with a rather small frothy brownish beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of spotty trace on the glass. Smell is malty and slightly earthy with caramel, dark bread, toffee, chocolate fudge, moist soil, charred wood, vanillin, liquorice fudge, moist grass and raisins in rum. Taste is bitter, slightly malty and earthy with toasted malts, caramel, toffee, sweet dark bread, moist soil, orange zest, cocoa powder, raisin bran, toasted cereal, charred wood and hints of banana bread. Mouthfeel is soft, dry, watery, round and light bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter and malty with toasted malts, caramel, toffee, sweet dark bread, moist grass, chocolate fudge, charred wood, vanilla fudge and hints of raisins. Very solid session brown ale.

Taste is slightly sweet, caramel malts, leafs, hay, sap, hops, bark, flowers, alcohol, grass, pine needles, citrus peel. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle. Pours crystal clear hazel, large puffy tan head, dissipates slowly leaving big blobs of puffy lacing. Aroma is nutty, malty, toffee, a bit of cardboard. Flavor is malty, truly malty, like malt syrup almost, light sweet with a bit of grassy bitterness, a bit nutty as well. Pretty light bodied, a bit of acid, but otherwise nice enough.
