Upon first sip, this is a decent but fairly ordinary stout - however, the more the beer warms, and the more your palate sinks into it, the more complexities come forward - the nose is intense, rich, smoky, herbal and woody - reminds me of a campire in wintertime - medium bodied, and a little less rich than the aroma suggests - fairly sweet, with some anise and chocolate - a subtle kiss of smoke and charred wood - light spiciness around the edges - the lightest bit of belgian fruitiness on the tail end - interesting and tasty.

Bomber, batch 9 - hazy medium orang beer - very effervescent body, with a lively mouthfeel - aroma of orange rind, pepery spicy character, a wee bit of honey, some crackery malt - a little sweet up front, but followed quickly by tangy citrus, paving the way for a crisp, dry peppery finish - some light phenols in the mix, as well as a very young earthy funk - love it - I want another bottle to see how the funk develops.

Bottle 22fl.oz. @ chrisos Back In The UK Tasting.Clear medium orange color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, keller notes, oxidide notes, moderate hoppy, orange. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, berry, malty, soft. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100522]

On tap at Sweet Grass Grill. Pours a hazy amber. Its only slightly hoppy, with some lemon, yeast, earthiness, pepper, and finishes bitter. Pretty pleasant after a long day of moving.

Enjoyed from a 22 oz bottle. Very high carbonation. It takes a long time for the tall, rocky head to settle. This is a dry, herbal saision. Some spice and lots of yeast, but very little sugar, which is nice for a change. Dry finish on the palate with yeast. A cloudy, dark orange colored beer.

Courtesy of bvc. Pours clear copper with thin white head. The aroma is fruity esters, phenol chemicals and then nose searing heat. The taste is very sweet to start with malts and some dark fruity esters. It then gets a punctuated from time to time by a chemical booziness. A mild ale, really?

bottle pours dark brown with a tall light tan head. Aroma is brown sugar and caramel malt. Flavor is very earthy. Wood, coconut husk and earthy hops with a mildly sweet chocolate in the finish.

Appearance: A brown colored pour, with a huge frothy white head
Flavor: Similar notes to the nose, mostly woody and malty
Palate: Medium body, with a smooth creamy mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This is a pretty solid brew. Another Pretty Things beer that I enjoyed. Nice stuff, good on cask. , solid stuff

Cloudy golden color; huge solid head. The aroma is initially mellow, with yellow fruits, then comes a hint of non spicy Belgian yeast. The flavor is strange: there is some expected spicy malt character, but also a dim sour touch and bitter oranges, that make me suspect for a light infection; the beer is therefore not exceptional.
