Description
Don't tell him beer is a guy's drink. Marjorie Jacobi is a girl, she loves jewelry, the color purple and beer! In 2009 she opened her own micro-brewery business and joined the very closed circle of female brewers. There are less than fifteen in France and Marjorie is surely the most rock'n roll of all.
In the village of Blainville-sur -Eau, Marjorie's house can be seen from afar. Purple shutters, flashy flowers and a garden gnome perched on the window. She even renamed the street after her microbrewery: Paradise. Marjorie launched her brewing in her kitchen. The computer scientist slashes everything and becomes a full-time "brewer".
A few meters from the vats, Marjorie has opened a small bar where you can taste her beers "but not every day, because hey ... Besides, there is not much stock." Proud of its success, the "stirrer-brewer" plans to expand and open a terrace this summer. Health, happiness, prosperity! She has found her paradise.

21/05/2013 Mad For Beer (tap). Ambrata pallida, leggermente torbida, schiuma bianca discreta, abbastanza persistente. Naso molto ricco, sentori di malto, bel luppolato, con note erbacee, agrumate e di frutta esotica. In bocca delude, ha una base di malto consistente, una coda luppolata amara, con netta astringenza. Corpo medio-leggero, carbonazione media. La base c’è, andrebbe rifinita.

25 cl. draft sampled @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Weird murky brown with a creamy big CML head. Nose is pine & grapefruit hops buried underneath cacao, sweet syrup, some chocolate & lightly roasted malts. Taste is grapefruit hoppy, covered by prune jam, cacao, chocolate, syrup, sweet overripe fruits, raisins, roasted malts,… Lively carb. Messy but quite enjoyable.

Tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, 29/04/13. Hazed golden amber with a thin frothy white head. Nose is hops, sugar, apricot, light tropical notes. Taste comprises peach, grass, hops, tarte apricots, pineapple, red grapefruit. Medium bodied with fine carbonation lending towards light hop bitterness in the finish, Decent enough IPA.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of caramel, fruits, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, fruits, and hops, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

A surprise find on tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, yay! Poured a misty blackish brown body with a huge off white head. Green fruit in the nose, full maltiness, some roast and raisins. Lovely aroma. Interesting perfumey aromatic hopiness on top of a full malty background, slightly herbal overall and not that bitter, wouldn’t have called it a black IPA but a great beer? Sure!

Draft @ ML Fontainas.
