Description
Don't tell him beer is a guy's drink. Marjorie Jacobi is a girl, she loves jewelry, the color purple and beer! In 2009 she opened her own micro-brewery business and joined the very closed circle of female brewers. There are less than fifteen in France and Marjorie is surely the most rock'n roll of all.

In the village of Blainville-sur -Eau, Marjorie's house can be seen from afar. Purple shutters, flashy flowers and a garden gnome perched on the window. She even renamed the street after her microbrewery: Paradise. Marjorie launched her brewing in her kitchen. The computer scientist slashes everything and becomes a full-time "brewer".

A few meters from the vats, Marjorie has opened a small bar where you can taste her beers "but not every day, because hey ... Besides, there is not much stock." Proud of its success, the "stirrer-brewer" plans to expand and open a terrace this summer. Health, happiness, prosperity! She has found her paradise.

Bottle from La Cave à Bulles, Paris; bb 15 Jan 2014
Hazy blond color, with excessive carbonation, and therefore too much head. Quite aromatic, with some yeast, some green grassy and sweaty hops, a bit of fruits. Dry mouthfeel; the malt flavor is quite good and rather spicy, with a good but strong yeast character; the bitterness level is high, and there are some hop qualities as well, grassy and earthy mostly; resiny final, long.
Pleasant thirstquencher, bold; probably more an American Pale Ale or a Belgian IPA than a regular IPA, though.
Tasted side to side with the Lylvie’cious, this one is cleaner, fruitier, more pleasant.

Bottle from La Cave à Bulles, Paris; with Centennial and Cascade
Cloudy blond color, with small sized head. The aroma develops a light and delicate fruity hop touch. The body is light, with a pleasant flavor of delicate spicy wheat and exotic fruits, hops; quite good bitterness level for a wheat beer. Dry final, but with some tropical fruits, still.
Pleasant, almost a White IPA. Subtle, fresh.

Bottle from La Cave à Bulles, Paris
Cloudy amber color, with medium sized head, fizzy. It has a simple aroma, with some caramel and some feety yeast. It has a bit too much carbonation; caramel flavor, with a light trace of vegetables and quite bold bitterness.
There was probably some unwanted extra fermentation. It’s a drinkable beer, but with some suspicion.

From tap at Moeder Lambic. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is hops fruity, light herbal. Solid hoppy, peachy, grapefruity and mango. Bitter and yet with a sweet fruity impression. Ends dry and lingering floral to fruity.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 20 July 2012) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of citrus, grass, bread and fresh hops. Fruity, malty taste with citrus, grass, bready malt and a grassy, citric bitterness in a fairly short finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite nice and refreshing.

2nd one to rate this // no surprise Sebastian was first // 25 cl. draft @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas // brewer (don’t think there is a female form) came in when I ordered this, maybe it always happens when someone orders one of her beers // dark amber, serious white head // smells floral, marmalade, round orange peel, grapefruit // bitter floral marmalade taste, burned sugar, toffee, citrus peel, grapefruit, lots of pine, malty, biscuit // mellow caramel body // neat session-esque beer

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 16 July 2012) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, spicy nose with citrus, apricots, hints of funky yeast and a slight acidity. Fruity, slightly spicy taste with notes of peaches, orange and spicy hints of yeast coming through. Decent spicy bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Style-wise my guess would have been bière de garde. Quite nice and tasty.

Draught Very fine and dense, big, just off-white head over fully hazy yellow-greenish beer; textbook lace. Perfumey hops, suggesting rosewater & citrus; fresh-green odour, if perfumed. Sweet, perfumey, rosewater. Sweetness, however, recedes slowly for more fresh, lightly sourish notes. Palate is a tad empty, if the mouthfeel appears very slick. Nice beer - a hoppy wheat where both ingredients don’t clash for once. Pity the finish is not quite up to the rest.

25 cl. draft @ Chez Moeder Lambic French Beer Festival /// hazy, green (yes, like touch lighter Fanta Pomelo green) – I don’t know maybe it is the lighting, yellow with a big creamy white head, smell is of creamy citrus & wheat, yeast & dash of citrus air refreshner // taste is sharp citrus, substantial yeast, clearly a wheat ale, citrus zest, creamy, some yeast, spices, lighter citrus acidity in the finish // touch dry, wheat based body // agreeable wheat ale

draft @ Moeder Lambic French Beer Festival ’12.
