Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), 3/4/10. Deep amber in colour with a slight, off-white head. A drinkable enough session bitter, with a touch of maltiness and not much else.

Cask. Brownish-amber. Rather sweet. Malty. Amber malt, chocolate, toffee flavors. Slightly roasted, slightly earthy taste. Very light on the hops. Nice enough. Not terribly interesting but a well-made bitter.

Can 330ml.Clear dark dark brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, sweet malt, vanilla. From cask at Duke of Wellington. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off-white head. Light roasted and dry caramelish to breadish aroma. Bitter and roasted breadish malty base flavoured. Persisting malty into the finish.
