500ml bottle from Hecks Farmhouse Cider. Drunk listening to an old Iggy Pop confidential recording for 6music. Pours clear gold, aroma is interesting fairly rich, stewed apple fruit. Taste presents a very light scuzzy carbonation, pleasant characterful apple fruit, some stewed elements, generally clean, soft tannin, very drinkable.

500ml bottle from Hecks Cider Farm, drunk at home. Pours a generally clear gold, light sparkle, aroma is dusty morning apple orchard, fresh cider apple fruit. Taste presents a lovely medium character with some fleshy fruit, dusty tannin, really comes together well with a good fruity presence. Another excellent Hecks cider.

500ml bottle from Mr Hecks himself in Street. Pours a clear pale green. A familiar perry pear sweetness presents itself on the nose. Soft natural carbonation, good fleshy sweet perry pears, lightly stewed richness. Very good example of one of the best perry pears.

500ml bottle picked up from Hecks cider barn, Street. Pours a generally clear gold. Aroma has encouraging sweet apple fruit. Taste presents nice fleshy apple fruit, some cigar like woodiness, fuzzy carbonation, soft tannin. A most agreeable traditional Somerset SV cider.

Draught drawn from the barrel by Mr Hecks himself @ his cider farm. He didn't seem too pleased with this apple, but I thought it was ok. Misty gold appearance, good strong gum sucking tannins make the first impression with a nice cigar-like woodiness coursing underneath and soft astringency. Not bad actually, a nice showcase for this unusual cider apple variety.

Draught straight from the barrel by Mr Heck's himself @ his cider barn in Street. Pours misty gold. Aroma presents a good vibrant farmhouse fruitiness. Taste is soft, farmhouse fleshy fruit, distant tannin, nice SV cider.

BIAB at Station House Cider Festival 2019. Clear golden colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of spicy, peppery, pear. Taste is drying, astringent, tannic, pear flesh, then peppery, woody. Medium bodied, low carbonation, very dry finish. Like the extreme dryness, very drinkable.

BIAB sample from Leeds Beer Festival 2019 courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Pale yellow colour, no head and mucky pear aroma. Taste is sweet, fruity pear, melon, with mucky horseblanket funk and some drying tannin. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, medium-dry finish with some residual sweetness. Quite drinkable.

6/6/2019. From bag in a box at Leeds Beer Festival. Pours clear extremely pale yellow gold with minimal head. Aroma of baked pear, toffee, brown sugar, tannins, funk and leather. Medium plus sweetness with light tartness. Medium body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation.

Fra fad på Hop House Amager, kvelden før årets ølfestival i Lokomotivværkstedet mai-19: klar gylden uten skum. Deilig duft og smak av saftige ciderepler. Slank og meget lettdrikkelig. Lang eftersmag gir en forfriskende effekt, såvidt jeg kan tyde mine skriblerier (kveldens absolutt siste planke).
