Description
The Hecks family have been making traditional farmhouse cider in Somerset for six generations, since 1841.
In 1896, we started to sell our cider from our farm shop in Street.
We make our cider by blending juice from apples all grown locally in the farm’s orchards. The cider is fermented in wooden barrels and sold draught from the wood.

500ml bottle from Hecks Cider Farm. Pours a generally clear gold, light natural sparkle. Aroma is lightly rich apple fruit. Taste presents a nice Slack ma Girdle showcase, with firm dry, gum sucking tannins, nice floral apple orchard fruit. Decent.

Litre plastic tub from Heck's Cider Barn. Drunk on my second wedding anniversary to Sophie. Pours a lightly misty gold, funky wild apple fruit on the nose. Taste is a touch wild, with an appealing sweetness, some distant buttery notes, light woody shades. Good, unusual single varietal.

500ml bottle from Hecks Cider Farm. Pours a clear pale yellow. Aroma has a lightly funky perry pear sweetness, good sparkle. Taste is crisp, bright, sparkling with a nice medium sweet perry character, nice fleshy undertones, a touch crunchy. No off-putting woody notes. Very good.
