Description
The Hecks family have been making traditional farmhouse cider in Somerset for six generations, since 1841.

In 1896, we started to sell our cider from our farm shop in Street.

We make our cider by blending juice from apples all grown locally in the farm’s orchards. The cider is fermented in wooden barrels and sold draught from the wood.

Cask at the Alma, London, Oktoberfest Beer Festival. Pours a glowing, ruby-pink, with basically no head. Really, this hue is remarkable. Otherworldy even! Has an apple and light funk aroma. Flavor is dank, sweet, dry. Hintsof sweaty gym socks and dirt. Medium bodied with no carbonation. Has a very dry, sweet finish with light must, earth, apple and more dankness. Super cider.

From a bag in a box at the Portcullis cider festival, Clifton, Bristol 12/08/10. Hazy gold in colour with slight carbonation. Sweet, pear fruit aroma with a touch of earthy skin. Flavour began with the same sweet juice, before rustic core and skin took over, with a hint of spice and dryish finish. Full of character.
