Hazy Copper pour, small off white head. Very smoky, ashy aroma, with some solid malted wheat. Body is full, with a soft carb. I can’t for the life of me find any pear in here, the smoke juts dominates the beer. There is a subtle fruitiness you wouldnt in a normal smoked, so I guess I can attribute that to the pear, but like I said, I can’t pick out pears specifically. Low bitterness, more smoky, and ash, with a slight smoky bacon finish.

Bottle at the beer bistro.
Hazy yellow pour, big off white head. Aroma, is all smoke, burnt wood, and some grass. Watery mouth feel,very soft carb. Finish is quite smoky, and it dominates and detracts from everything else. Not getting much sourness at all, and almost no savoury saltiness. It’s just smoky. Disappointing.

Cremiger, leicht wässriger und malzig-röstiger Beginn. Weich, leicht unterdurchschnittlich karbonisiert, zunehmend schokoladig, nussig. Herb-malzig, langer Nachhall, lecker. 13/11/10/11//11

From tap at Dopey’s Elixer, Amsterdam. Aroma is sweetish malt, biscuit, bit spicy, caramel, touch of berries. Flavour is sweetish and mildly sour. Body is medium. Interesting, haven’t had many beers similar to this one, very ’old’ and earthy.

Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is wheaty and fruity with notes of citrus and lemon. Flavour is moderate sour with a hint of sweetness and a dry finish. Light bodied and crisp. Easy and enjoyable refreshing Berliner.

Bottle. Dark brown, smaller beige head. Malty nose, biscuits, chocolate and roasted. Gentler smoke in the back. Moderately sweet upfront, dry syrupy fruits, medium bitterness ,roasted finish and lasting smoky aftertaste. Fuller body, some alcohol warmth.

Bottle from De Bierliefhebber. Aroma is roasted malt with dark fruits, plum, chocolate, some cofee, caramel, liquorice, touch of ash, chocolate syrup covered dark fruits. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with some tartness from the dark fruits and a mild roasty bitterness. Body is medium. Not the fullest Imperial Stout, but I dig the combination of tartish dark fruits and roasted chocolate malt.

Bottle from De Bierliefhebber. Luscious pepper aroma with ample white & black pepper, supported by notes of straw, mineral and grain. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium with lively carbonation. Rather one-sided beer but I like it.

aroma of chocolate, brown cookies, nutmeg, spices. Interesting aroma, quite intense. 7/10
flavor is vineous, sourish, non-sweet brown cookie notes. The vibrations pale tasted good, this one seem to have gone wrong over the years, not sure where to place
the flavor style wise, sour nutmeg and cocoa beer perhaps, if that was a thing. Drinkable but barely. 6/10
as an excentric sour it does work more or less, so not a drainpour at all.

BackLabel says best before 2017-03-21, new label on the side says distributed by kissMe bbf 2026-01-01 I think this bottle is quite old (it's 2025 now)
I only checked the date after I rated it, and I must say, I did not suspect it was an old beer or a beer past its best before - so this aged extremely well.
Bretty aroma with notes of fresh flowers, faint fruits, faint honey and herbs. nice bit wild yeasty estery aroma. 8/10
flavor is seabuckthorn, oranges, slightly yeasty note -saison'ish yeasty note. quite nice bitterness that is however fruity and herbal. 7/10
