18/V/13 - 25cl bottle @ VBPF (Jette) - BB: n/a (2013-487) Thanks to Erwin for sharing today's beers!

Clear dark purple brown beer, aery beige head, unstable, dissipates immediately, non adhesive. Aroma: caramel, dried fruits, overripe fruits, mocha, brown sugar, overripe banana. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: mocha, burnt caramel, bitter hops, bit metallic, cocoa powder, some overripe banana. Aftertaste: little bitter, overripe fruits and banana, bitter hops, port notes, red wine, some tannins, bitter chocolate. It's pretty complex and interesting, but I'm not a big fan of port beers I guess (Broeder Jacob, Domus, ...)

Golden with a lasting white head. Bready malt aroma with herbal notes. Sweet honey and bees wax flavour with herbal notes and a medium bitter finish

Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of malts, soy sauce, quite sweet, lots of caramel. Sweet malty flavour, liquorice, roasted malts, mocha coffee. Hefty carbonation. Finish liquorice, lingering sweetness.

Bottle sample @ ZBF’13 shared with the RB Belgian crew. Brune, cuivrée, col beige. Arôme malté, caramel, fruité noir. Palais est trop effervescent dénaturant pas mal le caractère de la bière. Caramel, sucre brun, grillé, levure en fin de bouche, fruité noir, pointe de grillé. Sympa.

Bottle sample @ ZBF’13 shared with the RB Belgian crew. Dorée claire, col blanc fin. Arôme est malté biscuité, carmel, houblonné fruité assez prenant. Palais est très effervescent, malté pour un palais restant très belge. Malt est généreux tirant vers le biscuité, sucre brun, alcool sur la fin malgré les 7.2% et un houblonné finement amer en fin de bouche. Fini sur un fruité agréable venant des houblons.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ ZBF 2013. Brownish with little beige head. Nose is sweet liquorish, caramel, Christmas spices, sweet dark fruits, bread. Taste is molasses, sweet brown fruits, light liquorish, sweet brown sugar, mocha, chocolate,… Too much carb. okay body. Not too bad as well, nice.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ ZBF 2013. Hazy golden with a white head. Sweet caramel and toffee in the nose, white berries, candy, fruity with honey. Taste is sweet toffee, light iron, caramel, bitter herbs, sweet hay, white berries and sweet fruits, some bitter herbs in the back. Creamy. Nice.

Clear red brown beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: caramel, dried fruits, raisins, some citrus, overripe banana. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of mocha, dark chocolate, overripe banana, sweet, bit dirty. Aftertaste: lots of mocha, chocolate, red berries, somewhat unclean earthy, little bitter.

Clear light blond to orange beer, irregular frothy white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit fruity, honey, floral touch, grains, bit malty. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, bit metallic, citrus, floral touch, yeasty. Aftertaste: fruity, some almonds, marzipan, soft bitter hops, orange peel. One of the better (new) beers at the festival!

Draft at BBF 2013. Almost black color, tan head. Aroma of coffee, cocoa, subtle plums. Taste is roasty coffee and cocoa.
