Bottle shared in London - big thanks to our Scottish friend, Paul. Pours oily black with a frothy tan head. Massive peaty aroma, some licorice, cocoa undertones. Light to medium sweet flavor with further strong peat, bittersweet cocoa, bitter earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, some heavy char, earth, oily chocolate. Definitely a lot of peat here. If you like peat, hop aboard.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s. It pours darkest black with a small tan head. The nose is rich, cocoa, vanilla, toasty coconut, juicy dirt and earth. The taste is rich, oily medicinal, roasted malt, earth, toast, light plastic, dirt, citrus peel and liquorice with a dry, boozy finish, medium-full finish. Crazy intense. Controversial.com. But I like it.

500ml Bottle - Melon, peach and grapefruit in the aroma. Hoppy and ever so slightly sweet taste with notes of peach, grapefruit, toffee and melon. Tasty and refreshing with plenty of flavour for the strength.

Cask at The Craven Arms; dark brown pour with a creamy dark tan head, big chocolate and roast malt aroma, taste has plain chocolate, roasted malts a hint of coffee, bitter finish.

Cask @ Bank, Manchester. Nicholson’s Beer Festival. Golden with a creamy head. It’s tropical fruit hopped although has a greater taste than aroma in this respect, with zesty orange more than evident.
