Mini-cask at Craig’s, with a warning that is had been kicking about for a while, so might not taste great. In fact, it tasted just fine. There was a slight oxidised note, but otherwise it was everything I expected it to be. Dark brown pour, spicy note, big spicy taste - like drinking sweet garam masala. then a chilli heat. Not bad at all.

Bottle from Cotteridge wines. Poured a hazy light amber with a frothy white head and broken lace. The aroma is sour Brett yeast. The flavour is weak sour with a yeast hop palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

Bottle shared thanks to Jmgreenuk. Pours cloud dark golden with a massive white head. Aroma is bretty, must be infected, along with citrus, grass and fruits. Flavour is light sweet and light heavy bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Fairly nice for a brett IPA but not supposed to be this way I’m thinking.

Cask at the Evening Star, Brighton on 6th November 2013. Light amber with thin off-white scant lacing foam. Thickly grassy aroma. Exquisite hoppiness in-mouth, with rich grass, delicate grapefruit and savoury touches. Lingering finish continuing the flavours aforesaid; light mouthfeel and medium body. Gorgeous.

500 ml bottle at home. Pours clear orange-gold with a big white head. Aromas at the lemon end of citrus, touch of green mango. Taste has a good bitterness. Not much malt presence. Bitter finish.

500ml bottle at home. Jet black pour, thin tan head. Big aromas of liquorice, chocolate, tar, treacle. Taste has more of the same. Chewy and not entirely pleasant finish. Had a few from this place now, and would like to see a bit more inventiveness.

500ml bottle at home. Pours dark reddish brown with a thin short-lived off-white head. Aromas are surprisingly roasted... Dark malt and coffee. Some chocolate. Definitely more porter territory than 80. Taste is sweet. Finish is a bit thin. OK.

500ml bottle shared with jeevan. Pours clear amber, thin white head, steady bubbles. Quite good hop aromas, more than I was expecting, but less than I might like. Some tropical fruit and pine. Solid malt backbone, which is what you want in a beer this strength to avoid it being too thin. Not bad at all.
