Microbrewery in Graulhet, Occitanie, France 🇫🇷

Description
Long-time beer enthusiast, Stéphane Dumeynieu, a former teacher, has always worked hard for his favorite drink. The range of beers respects the "Nature & Progress" specifications. It is located in Graulhet, in the Tarn. Inventive, Stéphane Dumeynieu, does not hesitate to think outside the box, multiplying new aromatizations, or even working beers with very long guards, like the bubble of the vines.

Created in 2005, the brewery initially moved to Montans in a winemaker's cellar. This first installation makes it possible to "understand" the name of the Brasserie des Vignes. On Easter Day 2005, the brewery produced its first beer called "Bulles de Vignes", followed quickly by La Clandestine.

Cuvée 2015, draft at Ranzani 13, Bologna, Italy. Pours pretty hazy, loaded gold, with practically no foam. Aroma is intense, winey, fruity, apricots. Body is fairly dense, with marked carbonation. Taste is intensely sour, partially acetic. Some initial sweetness. Finish is fairly long and sour, very nice.

Bottle. Pours unclear amber. Aroma is stables funk, rhubarb, grapes, barrel, dust. Body is medium, quite sour and sweet, but not tart. Lively carbonation. Lots of lemon and citric fruit, also fizzy candy. A bit overwhelming, and not for good reasons. Still, a good sour.

A sour ale from France - apparently the global craft beer movement is beginning to take on serious forms there... Eleven year old vintage bottle shared by JefVerstraete, cheers! Quite an impressive luxury bottle. Loosely knit, lightly lacing, off-white head, quickly reduced to a thin moussy ring on top of a misty, ochre-tinged amber coloured beer. Aroma of old dry peaches, apricot yoghurt, pineapple juice, sour cream, gooseberries, sweetbread, gherkins, old medium dry sherry, damp cellar. Sour and sweet in the onset, lots of gooseberry, some pear and pickled sweet gherkins, sour apple touch but sweet apricot as well; very soft carbo, bordering on flat. Smooth mouthfeel, bready malt sweetish core dried by lactic and fruity sourness, grapey, but remaining altogether fairly gentle, with a good balance of sweet and sour. Ends with some sherryish oxidation and damp cellar mustiness, along with warming, vaguely brandy-ish alcohol and a powdery 'dead yeast' effect. Not a bad effort at all, especially considering that in chauvinistic wine-dominated France, modern craft beer is still in its youth - and evolving seemingly more slowly than in other western European countries.

Bottle from 2007. Hazy yellow/amber colour, no foam, no carbonation. Tart, bretty, lots of lemon, barnyard, cellar notes. Refreshing and easy drinkable, reminds me a lot of a lambic.

3/II/18 - 75cl bottle @ Nieuwjaarsreceptie Gentse Biervereniging - BB: n/a (2018-75) Thanks to all members for sharing!

Bit cloudy orange beige beer, no head. Aroma: funky, brett, sourish, bit dirty, wood notes, spicy, dusty. MF: no carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bit acidic, lots and lots of bitter tannins, very unpleasant, some vinegar. Aftertaste: oxidized, cardboard, sourish, dirty, pretty infected, don't like this...
