Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, rye, moderate hoppy, citrus, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration´, rye, citrus - tangerine, orange, tropical fruit. Half pint, keg at Derby Tap. A small beige head to a deep black-ruby coloured body. Dark malty aroma, nicely roasted. taste of dark dough, liquorice and bitter coffee grounds to the finish. Smooth on the palate. Pleasant (Derby 18.02.2016).

Cask at the Wellington. It pours darkest brown with medium light tan head. The nose is earthy, liquorice, umami, oily, date and plum. The taste is bitter, earthy, liquorice, umami, touch of acidity, coffee grounds and ash with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and limited carbonation. Decent mild?!

Cask at the Wellington - Birmingham. Pours clear, red-brown with a frothy tan head. Toasty bread in the nose, some dark malts, earth. Medium sweet flavor with nice ripening berries, brown bread, leather, light cocoa. Light bodied with average carbonation; nice condition. Good balance on the finish, more mellow cocoa, earthy bitterness and dried and leathery fruits. Solid.
