Bottle from Booths, Media City. Amber with a thin head. Hopped with a light fruity character. It’s crisp without a finish to it which as it is dry and tasteless after the initial burst of flavour.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a short-lived bubbly white head. The aroma is sweet malt, strawberry jam, biscuit malt. The flavour is light bitter sweet with a smooth rich citrus fruit, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A really unusual ale with bags of fruit and hoppy goodness!

Aroma of mellow roast, touch of chocolate, soft cereal, soft dark malts, very light nose
Taste of soft sweet dark malts, mellow roast, malty, little hop, simple malts, touch of dark fruits, dab of dark chocolate, little lacking in depth
Palate - Medium body, soft sweet, smooth. Finish as main flavour.
Overall - Fairly malty beer, not bad at all

Half pint, cask, at Smithfield in Derby. White head covering a clear, dark golden coloured body. Oily hops on the nose. The taste profile is made up by caramel malts and a few citric hints. Nice bittersweet finish. Decent housebeer (22.02.2015).

Sample tray, one-third, tap at the brewpub. Spotty lacing from a remaining layer at the top of clear copper coloured body. Malt-fruity aroma, bit of caramel and leafy hops. Likewise, the taste is a mix of leafy hos and brown malts. A bittersweet ending is disturbed by yeasty hints. Drinkable (Derby 22.02.2015).
