Description
A family-run craft brewer. Trevor Harris and his wife Kes set up Derby Brewing Company in 2004, they are now semi-retired but still keep a close eye on the beer! Their son Paul is currently the managing director.

Cask at the Kings Head, Norwich, 27/01/24. Clear golden blonde with a good sized lasting white crown. Nose is mellow citric peel, grass, melon, light orange zest. Taste comprises citric tinged straw, grass, melon, light breads. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Okay pale.

Cask at Cellar Bar, Chester. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of lemon and dried herbs. Taste is bitter, orange peel. Light sweet malt finish.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham on 29th December 2023. Golden amber with almost no foam or lace. Earthy pungency and maltiness in aroma. Hoppy in-mouth with sweet fruits and smokiness, and a finish reflecting both foci. Light body and a smooth mouthfeel.

24-27/10/2023. From cask at the 45th Norwich Beer Festival. Pours clear deep chestnut red brown with a small bubby beige head. Good pour. Aroma is malty, fruity, caramel, berries, dusty edge. Moderate sweetness, medium, developing bitterness, touch of tart. Moderate body, oily and watery, average to soft carbonation. Drying bittering finish. Not bad.

Bottle (from Ales by Mail). Amber colour with a mediumsized white foamy head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is floral, toasted, sme sweet malts and mild toffee tones. Flavour is caramel, some fruity, floral, wooden and mild nutty tones with some toasted and biscuity tones as well.

Bottle. Deep amber colour with a small beige head, which also disappears quite fast. Aroma is grassy, some herbal, earthy and mild floral tones. Flavour is floral, caramelly, mild earthy and some bready and grainy tones too. Mild nutty elements as it warms up a bit.

Cask @ Cromwell's Tap House. Clear gold appearance, white head. Quite a robust bitterness, but it seems that's all there is.. quite light bodied, lacks a colourful hop presence.
