Pours hazy gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Citrus and pine aromas. Sweet candy corn upfront turning to bitter grapefruit pith in the lasting finish.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, a light smooth chocolate, a bit doughy, not bad. In mouth, a smooth roasted coffee, oily mouthfeel, burned notes, bitter chocolate, a bit of metallic notes, not bad. On tap at St-Bock, Feb. 4 2011.

Rounding up to a four for appearance - it has an excellent nice solid white head and attractive yellow-gold body; borderline average, yet just slightly above. Aroma is an awkward soft Belgian hop mix with some grain. Taste is a mix of malt, leather, armpit hair, and sugar - making it a badly mixed concoction for a so-called Belgian triple. This is kind of like an orchestra with all the right players, but a conductor and a score who just aren’t arranging them in the right amounts at the right time.

You know, it’s a four for appearance - nice off-white head, a decent clear amber, Charlevoix’s Dominus line has its appearances down for sure. The aroma, however, is a weak malt-sugar concoction that tells me they need to pay attention to other aspects of the beer. The flavour is sweet malt with a dry finish; a classic Belgian-style mix that’s reliable, but uncomplex and unexceptional, but hard to go wrong with.

Has a very nice clear gold body; yes, it’s almost like a million and one other blondes but it has that extra "je ne sais quoi" to make it exceptional. The head as well is huge and white, and has serious staying power. The aroma, however, is only a weak hint of citrus and grain. The flavour is mostly syrup and sugary adjuncts with a bit of malt in the middle. It’s intended to be a Belgian-style blonde, but comes off as a little too harsh for such a style. Essentially, it’s missing finesse to drag it out of the quagmire of mediocrity.

Nice foggy yellow-orange body with a good solid white head on top. Aroma is like a key lime pie; very citrusy but also coming off as very tasty. Taste is strong citrus notes with a slight witbier hint; carbonation is a little too aggressive. But, other than that, this stuff is good.

Has an exceptionally nice big white head and a very nice clear gold body. Soft fruity grain aroma that is held back by aggressive carbonation. Flavour is witbier notes over top of a slightly weak mouthfeel. Not bad, quite drinkable.

750mL bottle, pours hazy golden blond with a big white head. Aroma of barnyard yeast, banana, citrus and complex yeast. Flavour of intensely complex yeasts, banana, citrus, and a variety of dynamic spices - highly carbonated but not muting of the flavours. Most wonderful - a special treat.
