A rich copper body topped by a big fluffy white head with good retention. The nose includes dank fruity hops, fresh cut hay and sweet malts. Haven’t kept up with this series as they have lost their high-impact taste profile over the years and months, but this is a good beer. Caramel malt and citrus and tropical hops with some astringency and resin dominate the taste. Touches of pepper and honey and a dense rich body add to the taste experience. The medium plus carbonation keeps the sweetness and richness in line. Enjoyable, but I always expect more at 9% abv.

I am not always the biggest fan of Belgian Ales, but this is an imperial that is as good as advertised in central Canada. A nice frothy head on dark red-brown hue body. The nose offers spices and Belgian yeast. The taste is a lovely balance of cinnamon-led spice, berries, crisp apples. soft caramel sweetness and in-balance Belgian yeast. Glad I finally tried this one!

Pours murky gold into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Lychee and apricot aromas. Spritzy with overripe tropical fruit skin, peach and apricot pit upfront turning to mild dirty socks in the lasting finish. Nope.

Clean, lighter golden colour with warm-whitish bubbly head, a little stay, but not much for the style, and hardly any lace. The nose is interesting with herbal notes, grassiness, pears, other fruitiness and vanilla-caramel hints. The taste is pretty mild with the herbal-grassy touch, a little malt fruitiness and tad tart left. A wet, lighter mouthfeel with the Brut dry finish. Not your typical DIPA, but it does work with a touch of yeastiness that might blend things between the hops and malts.

On tap at the source.
Hazy beige pour, with a rocky, off white head. Aroma is sour wheat, with a hint of green apple skins. A touch a salinity, very light body, soft carb, low tartness, low bitterness.

Golden pour, Rocky white head. Yeasty, herbal, lemon, pale cereals. Thin mouth feel, super lively carb. Odd berry flavour with some stone fruit in the end with a soft finish, and light bitterness. Weird beer.
