Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2016. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. Aroma of sweetish malts and a touch of stone fruit, with a whiff of leafy hop. Flavour had sweetish, earthy, malts, some more fruit and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask @ Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury. Pours clear gold, white head. Light caramel malt aroma. Taste presents good caramel flavours. Feels like it wants to be an ESB when it grows up but for now it’s a nice light bitter with promising caramel flavours.

On cask @ the Standing Order. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - mainly lemon and pale malt. Something creamy. Lemon curd? Taste - more of the same. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - another solid example of the style.
