1/I/20 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ Ardennes holiday, BB: VIII/2020 - (2020-2)

Clear pink to deep ruby beer, small creamy irregular light pink head, pretty stable, little adhesive. Aroma: little fruity, urinals, some sulphur, some red forest fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: pretty bitter, dry, some tannins, hint of raspberry jam, no lactose? Aftertaste: bit sourish, some lemon peel, bitter touch, citrus notes, bit metallic, meh. Wouldn't really consider this an IPA, TBH...

Bottle @ home. Dark brown color. Milk chocolate and caramel in the aroma. Malty sweet, slightly roasted flavor with caramel, apricot, pineapple and milk chocolate. Sweet, too sweet maybe, but surprisingly good.

On tap at Brasserie de Bellevaux, Saturday 16th March 2019 en route to our new home in Attenkirchen, Bavaria via a stop off for the night in Heidelberg. Pours hazy gold with a mid sized white head. The yeastiness in the blonde also shows again here, a little boozy banana and slowly the abv starts to have a little effect or is it affect? Good

On tap at Brasserie de Bellevaux, Saturday 16th March 2019 en route to our new home in Attenkirchen, Bavaria via a stop off for the night in Heidelberg. Pours vimto colour with a light pink hue to the head. The cherry is on the sweet edge of tartness, it does have a tang but it's swift, a nice but subtle oakiness, nice.

On tap at Brasserie de Bellevaux, Saturday 16th March 2019 en route to our new home in Attenkirchen, Bavaria via a stop off for the night in Heidelberg. Pours clear gold with a white head, nice yeasty nose, a little spicy in the mouth with a creamy vanilla like edge, a touch of malt. I like this, it offers up something slightly different to the others.

On tap at Brasserie de Bellevaux, Saturday 16th March 2019 en route to our new home in Attenkirchen, Bavaria via a stop off for the night in Heidelberg. Pours good, good clarity with a white head, crisp, bitter and dry. There is a light and sweet fruitiness. A little bit thin but otherwise good.

On tap at Brasserie de Bellevaux, Saturday 16th March 2019 en route to our new home in Attenkirchen, Bavaria via a stop off for the night in Heidelberg. Pours dark brown with a ruby glint when the light catches it. This is a decent beer and actually not so different from the Old Peculiar that it's trying to head towards. Malty with a very light roast a bitterness not unlike a UK bitter or porter. A touch of dark fruit, it's good.

On tap at Brasserie de Bellevaux, Saturday 16th March 2019 en route to our new home in Attenkirchen, Bavaria via a stop off for the night in Heidelberg. Pours clear gold with a white head, crisp and bitter but good fruitness, taste is more lagery but nice hoppy edge. Good. I had a great three beer taster flight, the young lady told me this was the Summer ale, however I think this is the new lager that I also asked for and that she'd mentioned. However I will rate as told.
