Sweetish aroma with hay, some caramel, toffee and soapy citrus. Flavour has soapy citrus with some floral notes and hints of toffee. Aome alcohol comes through when having with food. A bit too sweet but ok.

Aroma is really sweet with brown sugar and toffee typical to aged belgian ales. Flavour is sweet with lots of brown sugar, some toffee and hints of malt. Fels like a sugar candy. Way too sweet and sticky stuff.

Foams really much. Aroma is sweetish with soapy citrus, apricot and some floral notes. Flavour is sweet with caramel, apricot, some soapy citrus, floral notes and honey. Foamy palate does not disturb much, but becomes a bit sticky towards the end of the glass. Decent.

Aroma is sweetish with pine needles, peaches and nettles. Lots of CO2 on foamy and somewhat sticky palate. Flavour is somewhat tart with nettles, pine needles, earthy and floral notes. Interesting.

Aroma is rather nice and perfume‐like with fruit candy. Also hints of hay and peach. Flavour is tart with grapefruits, some citron, hints of peaches and hay. Also some licorice at the end of the glass. Interesting, I find it hard to find the 8% here.

From BA in November 2008: Small brown bottle (25cl), glad it wasn’t a bigger one, nearly couldn’t finish this titchy one. Poured into my La Chouffe tulip glass it looked OK, a reddy brown, clear and bright body with a big, light pink foaming head. The head fell to a wispy covering a bit to quickly for my likeing, but first impressions were fine. The aroma was of sweet cherries and almonds, in fact a Bakewell Tart sort of smell, interesting if not overaly beery. Oh dear, it tasted like it smelled, a sweet cherry alco-pop. It was a thin watered down syrup and one for the kids or ladies who like a sicky drink. The beer got worse as it warmed, I started to look for excuses to lower my original scores. It was almost undrinkable towards the end. It did however look and smell worth the effort, so my scores didn’t alter, many on here wouldn’t be so kind, I feel.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, raisins, prunes, crisp-bread, brown sugar and hints of chocolate. Malty, fruity taste with notes of raisins, prunes, dark bread, brown sugar, liquorice and a mild spicy bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Hardly exceptional, but solid and well made. Quite nice.

Bottle: Deep reddish-amber coloured, clear, small off-white foamy layer, sweetish caramelly-toasty nose with a fruity tinge; moderate sweet flavour, sticky MF; lingering sweet toasty-fruity finish with a slight bitter touch in the aftertaste. Too one-dimensional…

33cl bottle. Brown colour with a good formation of tan head, creamy, frothy and with a moderate duration. Aroma has sugary notes, slightly alcoholic and yeasty. Flavour is sweet at the beginning, caramelish, moderate alcoholic and a final slightly bittery. Carbonation is lively to medium. Body is medium.
