Description
Since 1996, our brewing philosophy has been quite simple – to brew memorable, well balanced and flavourful beers, regardless of the style.
From light and crisp, to malt forward and smooth, all the way to loaded with hops… each of our brews are crafted using 100% malted barley, the finest hops, water and yeast.
Founded in Kelowna, BC, now brewing in our expanded facility with Big Rock Brewery in North Vancouver’s Brewery Creek district, drop by if you’re in the neighbourhood and we’ll show you first hand how we make great beer.

Smells like sugar and alcohol. A bit of a booze bomb here, not all that pleasant of an experience. Pours with little head, not much tracing. Dark brown, looks ruby in the light. A little bit of oak with the sugar and alcohol, some light astringence. Bottle from the lick-bow.

650 ml bottle. Pours a deep red/brown with almost no head. Aromas of roasted malt with caramel hints. Flavors of toffee and fruit. A bit sweet but not overly so. Nice.

bit of sugar cane but not much fruit. Flavors are more in the back end and not very prominent as upfront it's kind of neutral.

(650mL bottle from LCBO) Pours a darker orange with a foamy off-white head which lingers and leaves a little lace. Aroma of toffee and caramel malts, fresh pine hops and a little citrus, all somewhat overpowered by a distinct alcohol note. Flavour is fairly complex caramel and honey malt flavours whose sweetness is cut by resiny pine bitterness and warming alcohol, meaning the beer finishes hot and dry. Mouthfeel is quite heavy and slick, with medium carbonation. A little too boozy and brash for a balanced DIPA but still tasty.

650 ml bottle. Purchased at 16th St. Pours a dark brown with tan head that dissipates quickly. Malt, chocolate, and red fruit to the nose. Dark chocolate, roasted malts and a little bit of citrus followed by bitter hops.. Tasty but is this really an IPA?

Smells floral, hoppy. Heavy alcohol almost makes it taste Belgian. High hoppy aftertaste smoothed out by the high alcohol. Malts come off a little sweet, but not too much. Heavy body, tasty beer. Big bottle.

Bottle - Malty with significant vanilla aroma. Clear amber hue with minimal head. Toasted malt taste with a ton of vanilla but not too sweet, ever so slight bitterness in the finish. A little too carbonated for my taste, but a nice tasting winter ale.

650mL bottle, pours a dark brown / black with a reddish tinge and small tan head. Chocolatey, roasted malt and some toasted nuts on the nose with little hop presence detectable. Flavour brings out the hops more noticeably, beginning with some toasted nuts roasted malt, espresso, some burnt notes, burnt brown sugar and bitter chocolate, ending with some bitter citrus hops and burnt notes. Nicely balanced with a medium-to-full body and an astringent finish. Very solid offering from Tree.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Amber color; creamy head. Spice and malt aroma, maybe vanilla. Lean mouthfeel; caramel flavor, fudge, and spicy cookies; ordinary bitterness.
Not bad, but there is too much Christmas for me here.
