Bottle (as Suma Mytholm Mist) from Church Farm Organics, Thurstatson. Poured a hazy, pale gold colour with a fast fading white head. Floral aroma with hints of nutmeg, fruit cake and clove. Pretty lively carbonation. Citrus hop flavour with a vague spiciness; seemed somehow unbalanced and a bit confused. Dryish finish.Actually quite drinkable. A wee slice of lemon made quite a difference and enhanced my enjoyment of this largely inoffensive number.

[500ml bottle from RISC Global Cafe, Reading] Pours black with moderate, foamy tan head. Slight carbonation. Aroma of blackcurrants. Flavour is robust to the point of aggressiveness - I wasn’t sure if I was drinking the stout or if it was drinking me! A big kick of smoke is followed by lots of roasted malts and earth, and finishes with more blackcurrant. Very little bitterness. Much rougher than your average stout. Couldn’t decide if I liked this one or not.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol, 23/11/08. Deep gold in colour, with a slight, off-white head. Spicy, ginger and lemon grass aroma. Flavour of sweetish malts with plenty of ginger and a hint of orange hops, before a short bitter finish. Ok.

Cask@GBBF2008. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is apples, some wood and a bit caramel malts. Flavour is some wood and mild notes of grass along with a slight breadyness. Quite different brew, wellbalanced and nice to drink.
