Cask@GBBF2008. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is apples, some wood and a bit caramel malts. Flavour is some wood and mild notes of grass along with a slight breadyness. Quite different brew, wellbalanced and nice to drink.

Draught /Minikeg Good, persistent greige head over practically black beer. Roasted malt notes, typical stoutish Ersatz coffee. Slightly sourish roasted malts, even woody, little cigarette ashes flavour. Light; acidic-carbonated MF. Good, if light stout. Acidity maybe a tad too prominent.

[Cask at the North Wiltshire Beer Festival]. Weak bitter lemon flavours; a poor example of a style that normally I love.

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival 09-05-08 Mid brown in colour with a lovely smokey bacon aroma, no one else seems to have got that but Loz and I definately did, lets hope we were rating the same beer, I’ve checked me notes again and it’s definately this one. There was a nice toasty and roastiness to this beer, quite fruity interesting mild I quite like some of the Little Valley stuff as I recall and this was no exception.
