Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 20/4/08. Chestnut red with a slight off-white mild. Aroma of red fruit and a whiff of roasted malt. Flavour had some caramel and chocolate malt before a short, fruity finish. A drinkable mild.

Cask handpull at Market Porter. Deep chestnut with thin beige head. Roasty toasty mild with good fruits. Rather a good mild. It is mild, but it is toasty. Excellent mild, with some choc, but just so tasty in the malts.

Draught@Market Porter. Hazy gold, low head. Flowery aroma, light nutty notes. Fine balance on the palate, does not have the herbal notes of other hemp beers.Medium chewy body, light sparkles. Apricot aftertaste.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 9 Aug 2007) Pale golden yellow colour, hazy, with white head. Fruity nose with citrus, wheat-four dough and yellow plums. Fruity taste with notes of wheat-flour dough, floral hops with citrussy notes in the finish. Initially sweet, but turns drier towards the end. A bit soapy, easy to drink. Fairly good shot at the style.
