Bottle, 7.8%. OK hoppy aroma, American style hoppy and caramelly. Almost clear dark copper colour. Very small white head. The flavour has some grassy hop with a rather rough bitterness in the finish.

Bottle. Good aroma of sour cherries. Sweet and acidic. Very dark red colour, might be a little hazy. Very small pink head. The flavour has a good level of cherry, quite fad and ripe. Not really sweet, but slightly acidic and finishing rather dry. A good thirst-quencher.

Bottle 33cl. @ home.Clear light to medium orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is spicy, yeasty, saison alike, moderate to light heavy citrus shell. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, peppery sharp, and some rubber notes. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. The aroma is well balanced, flavor is a bit sharp and wiry (out of balance). [20081220]

Tap at OTH. Pours a deep red/ruby with thin white head. Aroma had a light cherry tartness and was very enjoyable. Taste, plenty of tart cherry and most of it seemed to be off-set by a mild sugary sweetness. Light in body, this one was easy to drink, not too complex but damn tasty. For the style, it might have been a little too sweet with not much sourness.

Bottle at Pre ZBF, at Alvinne, 06-03-09 Pours orangey/brown that sort of seventies clothing look, there was a small thin white head atop. Dusty old furniture aroma and some wine notes. The taste was a little sweet but also with some tanginess. Some sour banana, spice, its quite fruity its fine but not really my thing, I think I’m more a fan of the fresh stuff by Alvinne A5 A3 F5 P3 OV12 2.9

Bottled. Hazy reddish color, short off-white head. Aroma of cherry, marzipan. Bit watery taste, fruity cherry, bit sour. Not really sweet. Bit thin.

Bottled. Hazy brown color, short head. Sweet candy aroma, slight sour, some sugar, some vanilla, cask whisky/brandy. Sweetish taste, slight sour. Quite ok.

Bottle at pre ZBF at Alvinne 06-03-09 Pours murky golden with a thin white head. Aroma is woody of that there is no doubt and the Calvados ageing is noticeable, as I can just pick an appleyness. Its got quite a tanginess and its really quite interesting but the actual beer seems a little lost. Despite its best efforts to draw me in I never really got on with this beer, but nonetheless am pleased to see beers like this and was glad to have tried it. A7 A3 F5 P3 OV12 3.0

Bottle at Pre ZBF, Alvinne, 06-03-09 Pours warm golden colour. The first taste lets forth an explosion of hops and honey sweet malts, with tangy grapefruit and lemon rind as well. The aroma is fine, bit citric but too be honest not quite as one would expect from the flavour. The bitterness hangs in little stalacmites from the roof of the mouth, a wonderful beer and quite a change having had this after the big impy stouts. A6 P4 F8 P4 OV17 3.9

No head - looking for all the world like a 20yr old, forgotten beer. UFO’s abundant. Very old wine/old sherrylike, prematurely oxydized, like sour sherry. Sweet, lightly oxydized flavours, again sherry, but turning out not to be really sour. Completely flat, needs desperately some conditioning (BTW, bottle was filled to less than 1cm from the top). Alcoholburning, very slick, and of course very light-bodied. Impression as from partly dried unripe grapes on sherry. Whatever happened to this one?
