Cask at Craft Beer Co. on 7th September 2011. Crystal clear gold with foam head soon falling to a film-and ring level with full-on early lacing. Nutty, leafy, cheesy aroma. Very nutty in-mouth; hazelnut and fresh peanut notes; some savoury taste as well. Richly hoppy. The finish is hoppy, malty and cheesy with a zingy and crisp texture. Very enjoyable ale.

Cast at GBBF 2011, Day 3. Pours clear gold with a medium, white foam head. Fresh, clean hop aroma, light grass notes, fine pine. Medium sweet flavor with beautiful balance. Bitter notes of pine and resin. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky finish, oily and resinous hops, fine baked straw, grass. Great. One of the best cask IPAs I can recall.

GBBF. Cask. Clear gold beer. Little white head. Light dry palate. Bitter resinous hop. Grapefruit, tangerine, touch of pineapple. Grassy bitterness. Dry finish and the bitterness turns marmaladey. Nice English IPA - if this had been put on the US bar it would have blended in seamlessly.

Bottle - Very sweet pine, sweet fresh orange. Mango and peach. All notably sweet! Very nice IPA.

On tap at the Draft House. Clear very dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Light dry palate. Mild dark malt, not bitter. Obvious and pleasant sweet red fruits underneath with strawberry and cherry identifiable. More dark malts with a trace of roast. Semi dry finish. Nice beer, the hop could be a bit stronger and the Draft House could serve this at cellar temperature instead of near room temperature but the quality shines through. Good stuff!

The taste is lemon and lime pith, red apple, honey sweetness, pepper, hay and straw, with a long bitter-peppery finish. Light to medium body and soft carbonation. Ok.

Cask at Craft Beer Co. It pours golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is sweet kiwi, pineapple, white sugar, candyfloss, bubblegum and glazier cherry. The taste is full of tangy tropical fruit, hay, straw, resin, floral, dough and alcohol warmth, with a long bitter-dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Decent.

Cask at Craft Beer Co. It pours very dark brown, with a thin light beige head. The nose is latte, caramel, light roasted malt, wood, light spice and liquorice. The taste is lactose, filter coffee, earth, light spice, roasted malt, wood and cracked black pepper, with a dry, spicy finish. Light body and soft carbonation. Decent.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 10/09/2011. Deep amber in colour with a slight white head. Big aroma of gooseberries, pineapple and a hint of pine with some malty sweetness. Flavour had plenty of tropical fruit, balancing, slightly bready malts and a rasping, dry finish. Very good.

Cask at CP&K. It pours deep ruby, with a decent beige head. The nose is smoke, bonfire, oak and earth. The taste is oak, wood, nut, earth, astringency, caramel, roasted malt and tangy dried fruit (raisin, cherry and plum), with a big dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Ok.

Cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen under the name of "Hunny Beer". It pours clear golden yellow, with a decent, fluffy white head. The nose is sweet honey, caramel, hay and straw. The taste is hay, straw, honey sweetness, biscuit, lemon and lime, with a decent bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Decent balance, thankfully the honey is not overdone. Ok, but not particularly exciting.
