750ml bottle. Pours an oily, opaque black with a thin, creamy off white head. Nose is muted and mellow, vanilla, oak, woody, chocolate, brown sugar, molasses. Flavor is vanilla beans, coffee grounds, malty, molasses, licorice, toasted bread. Medium bodied, super smooth, lightly slick finish that leaves a lasting vanilla essence in the mouth.

Draft at the brewpub! Outstanding; well worth the trip up the canyon! Nose is nicely tart combining with winey oak (pinot barrels I assume), light notes of cherries, and some spiciness and white pepperiness. Murky orange with a medium off white head. Flavor is heavy on tart cherries, witha light contrasting sweetness, yeast, and lots of oaky woodiness. Excellent sour!

Bottle. Pours with a hazed golden body and a very large, foamy, bone hued head. Great lace and retention. Aroma is hoppy...nearly outrageously so. Full of citrus, lime, lemon, grapefruit, orange, papaya, mango, a touch spicy with a hint of pine. A hint of a candish note. Malt is lightly bready and toasty. Light esters. Flavors are pine, citrus, grainy, light dill notes, tons of citrus, grapefruit. Apparent alcohol. Malt is bread like but hidden. This beer is about the hops, with some alcohol. Light fruity esters. Drying. Obvious warmth. Medium to lively bubbles. Quite enjoyable! Honestly at its freshness right now it is about equal to a 10-14 day old Pliny bottle (in quality and price). A feat by itself.

Tangerine and mango nose, not tremendously strong, with grapefruit peel accents. Clear amber, thick yellow head, good lacing. Piney initially and beyond. Somewhat off balance and lacking a backbone. Thin body. Just a hint of malt in the finish, with spicy floral notes. Neat and diverse use of hops, but too thin. A couple of tweaks from being "outstanding". Until then, it’s "just good".

Bomber bottled on May 12th from Country Club Liquors. Nose is tons of ivy and piney hops that waft out on you as you open the bottle mixed with a very light malty sweet aroma. Hazy copper orange with a medium beige head. Flavor is moderate bitterness with hints of pine and a lightly sweet backbone. Finishes lightly bitter. I agrre with my son in law who calls it Double "Just Outstanding".

Pours a hazy medium orange with a big puffy white head. Prodigious clumps of bubbles cling to the walls of the glass as I drink. The aroma is all hops. It smells like tropical fruits (mango, pineapple), citrus (tangerine, orange) and a hint of marijuana. Of those notes, I’d say it’s closest to pineapple. The taste starts with a touch of citric-caramel sweetness and finishes with a healthy pine resin bitterness. It doesn’t quite have the perfect balance of their Citra DIPA, but it’s very tasty. The aftertaste is all grapefruit pith and pine needles. Despite the bitter bite, the mouthfeel is soft and full, like the DIPA. It’s very pleasant to drink.

Pours black with a hint of rosy brown refracting through the base of the glass. The head is a creamy mass of uneven tan bubbles. Lots of lacing. The aroma is black coffee, milk chocolate, roast and herbal/citric hops. The chocolate and coffee notes are dominant, and it reminds me of a good mocha more than anything. It tastes surprisingly sweet, which works nicely with the coffee and chocolate malt flavor. Hop bitterness quickly reins things in, and the finish is all bitter citrus and roast. Mouthfeel is creamier and chewier than I’d normally expect from an 8% abv beer.

Massive grapefruit aroma. Hazy orange, copper with a full white head. Starts off slightly watery, but continues with medium-full warming mouthfeel. Malt holds up nicely for this hop bomb. Citrus and grapefruit. Bitterness throughout.
