32oz growler from Stateline Liquors. This isn’t particularly pretty, thick, no clarity, orange marmalade color. Any sort of head just dissapates with extreme prejudice. Low clarity. As the description of this beer insinuates - saison, BdG, wild beer mix - it has a lot of wonderful aspects but it’s a mish mash of those aspects. Aroma has prominent brett. I think this brewery proclaims a specific individual brett but it seems a lot line Brett Brux though not used to its best abilities. It’s a lightly sweaty herbal brett. Some light rotten fruits, lightly BdG malt backbone, and a lightly spiky feral character. Its a small fsslong beer with a big feeling body, if that makes sense. A mildly spritzy finish to the beer. Flavor has more of a light feral and rotten fruit brettiness, a little orange marmalade with a lightly malty backbone. Wild and light finish. Like I said, a mish mash but all aspects I like.

Keg tap at Cajun Café on the Bayou, Pinellas Park, Florida. As Saint Somewhere Saison. Amber and clear-ish with a small white head. Musty start to the aroma, then bringing up saison-type yeast notes with seawater and sourdough. Sour citrus-laden taste tempered by the sweetness of the yeast. Long medicinal finish. Thin body with low to medium carbonation. A really good saison.
