Bottle shared by artusory. Hazy straw body, light sediment, thin off-white head. Funky aroma, with pineapple and spice, a bitter peppery potpourri. Unfortunately the body is plagued by plastic and rubber phenols, tainting the spice, pineapple, and light fruity notes otherwise featured in the body. The sum is a messy beer.

Rerate: August, 2009. 750 ml. An improvement over the previous bottle — not as sweet and not as dominated by pumpkin pie spices — though the all-spice and cinamon are still there to a larger degree than I prefer. It’s no longer a drain pour. But it’s also not a very good saison or, style aside, not that enjoyable a beer for the price. Clear, light amber pour with white, frothy head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is is filled with all-spice, sugar and cinamon. The flavor is heavily sweet and lightly bitter. Moderate body and lively carbonation as expected. Watery texture. Dry finish. Way too sweet and too heavily spiced to be enjoyable for my tastes — like drinking pumpkin pie. Bottle courtesy BigMilly8.

Thanks to beerlando for this - hazy orange beer - the aroma is equal parts sweet and tart, with notes of orange marmalade and citrus pulp - semi-tart orange flavor, with just enough candi sugar sweetness to cut it - very pulpy and earthy, with a light, refreshing herbal character - very soft, yet lively at the same time - I’m impressed by this brewer so far.

Bottled shared buy notalush, I also have one in a trade from Beerlando. This brewer is really good and I cannot wait to keep drinking his stuff. It pours an orange-copper color, completely murky with no clarity. Aroma is dill (bastard Joe threw that in my head) or more like it’s smells are fresh herbs that are green yet rejuvenating. In general it s springtime on your nose with yeasty (dough sweetness) highlights. Taste is fresh and light sweetness of a Belgian Saison. Medium body but also very alive. It’s just so fun to drink. It’s awesome in its simplicity, nice spices with a strong saison.

Pours a hazy gold to orange hue with thin white head. The aroma is fruity with apples and grapes as well as candi sugar, spices that I can’t discern, yeast, a hint of funk and a mild lemony tartness. The taste starts mild and with sweet fruitiness from apples, grapes and pears. I can also taste candi sugar, slight tartness, yeast and the mildest under current of funk. Nice, smooth and refreshing.

Pours a hazy dull orange with thin white head. The aroma has a nice fruitiness with apples, grapes and pears followed by mild spiciness, yeast, candi sugar and a faint note of beat sugar. The flavor starts with an initial wave (tiny wave) of malt sweetness that quickly becomes over taken by red grapes, sweet red delicious apples, pears and beats. There’s also hints of candi sugar, spices and some faint yeastiness. Very nice.

Quite nice. Big candied spiced fruit flavors and aromas. Fruits included peach and persimmon with possibly something tropical like mango or pineapple. Spiciness indistinct, but something like a fruitcake spicing. Yeasty, doughy, bready. Fairly undercarbonated, which if fixed would make this one really great. Slightly cloudy yellow golden color, no head.

Apricots and bananas glazed in brown sugar, with violets added to the syrup, served on a warm plate of the color of desaturated orange.

Thanks to beerlando for this - shared in good company - very cloudy golden, with a slight orange tint - fresh, crisp, minty aroma, with melon and orange rinds - lemon verbena, rose hips - very herbal, with lemongrass, orange peel - earthy, but no sign of brett yet - medium sweetness - a cool, tea with lemon and mint character - apple cider and mild wintery spices in the background - a really interesting and tasty beer - {I’m currently enjoying one with some age on it, and there is a very mild background sourness and very light horseblanket character, which compliment the above-mentioned characteristics really well - I like this beer more each time I have it]
