Ebly’s second, with thick, cream white head and deep golden blonde colour, hazy. Caramel malts in the nose, honey, nutmeg, pear, grapefruit; smooth, fruity taste, fresh, soft bitterness in the finish. Nothing exciting but a more than decent tripel.

First beer of this beer company in Ebly, with a name referring to a historical fact; to be consumed from a glass in a wooden holder, which caused the company to be sued by Bosteels, which considered it as plagiarism of the famed Kwak glass. Loose, unstable, off-white head, colour golden blonde, clear. Aroma of green apple and soapy and grassy hops as well as paint- or nail polish-like solvents. Dry taste, restrained fruit, smooth with strong carbo, bitterish finish due to the hops but also the solvents, a bit chemical.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from Luc and Kim. Hazy light yellow with a firm white head. Hoppy fruity aroma. Medium bitterness. For its considerable high ABV it sure is a light footed tripel. Nice balanced beer.

Very malty beer, with a high alcohol percentage, unfortunately, this is very present in the taste. It’s served in a drinkhorn though, which is quite cool.

Hazy straw with big white head. Nice spicy Belgian yeast, light sweet malts, hay, lemon peel, some vegetal bitterness. Not very sweet, with slight nasty metallic bitterness. Nice full carbo. Overall nothing special, kind of like Duvel light.
