Description
Cider done right. That means delicious West Country cider made from fresh apple juice, using the best locally-sourced apples. Founded in 2002, we are independent, family-owned and very proud to be based in the oldest working cider mill in the UK, breathing life back into the old building. Our home in the heart of Devon is the perfect micro-climate to grow cider apples and we are blessed with some of the finest bittersweet apple orchards in the world. We press and ferment whole juice from the finest locally sourced fruit, never from concentrate. No artificial flavours or aromas, simply the best natural ingredients, and then let it age to perfection. No shortcuts. The result? Delicious, beautifully balanced and naturally refreshing cider.

Box @ Beer Shack, Burnley. Hazy, slightly paler yellow coloured. Light tasting, the ginger is just about dominates, but there’s a healthy sweetness to this cider.

Clear golden. Strong, but not quite as strong tasting as you might expect. The fruit is not very stated, but is evident. I got a fair amount of ginger in its aroma, but more so in its taste - not sure if I was supposed to or not.

Box @ Calans, Hebden Bridge. Clear darker golden colour. The additional fruit is evident most notably in the ciders nose, although the apple remains dominant. Very light tasting with a smoothness in its texture.

BIAB @ Shrewsbury hotel, Shrewsbury. Pours deep gold. Woody aroma, some boozy brandy hints but that could be the ABV, some overripe apples. Alright.
