Foamy tan head on a still dark brown coloured body. Sour & malt aroma. Medium bodied, foamy dry & clean. Lemon, sour, malt, liquorice & Vimto tastes with a tangy finish. Sour Stout?? - Weird but goes together well.

Draft at The Coach & Horses, London 22/11/2024 Bold punchy fruity aroma on the nose and taste follows with some sabro pineapple to the fore, gooseberry and fleshy peach and mango bringing up the rear, some hop spice bite, medium body and semi sweet malts, balanced bitter hoppy finish. Nice one.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - jet black with a tan to fawn head, quite thin. Nose - coffee, chocolate, woody and whisky notes. Then it 'opens up' into black olive, liquorice, herbs and tapenade. Taste - sweet liquorice this time, treacle, dates, salt, soy sauce and dry herbs. Palate - medium to full bodied, boozy middle and finish. Woody generally. Overall - good stuff!

Large frothy white head on a dull pale golden coloured body. Gooseberry & tea aroma. Medium bodied, soft over the tongue with a cloying back. Gooseberry, bubble gum, tea & lemonade tastes. Sours aren't normally my bag but I do like beer with tea in the brew & this is nice - not acidic at all.

440ml can at the Wrekin Inn on 10th December while helping out with the Christmas Quiz. Hazy golden body, white topping. Citrus fruit lead with a subtle white wine undertone, sipped slowly it was most enjoyable.
