Bottle shared on Level 42 14/06/2017. Many thanks to Colin for this one. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting fine tan head. Aroma is waxy oily, powdery choc, cinnamon, toasted coconut, woody, pencil shavings. Earthy choc. Palate is woody, earthy, semi sweet, moderate carbonation... . Good.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Cloin. Pours black-brown with a bubbly, tan head. The nose holds moderate roast, dry milk choclate, ash. Medium sweet flavour with more rounded, deep coco! faint espresso, scorched earth. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish with bittersweet chocolate, pleasant roast, some leathery, dried berries. Very good stuff.

Bottle split at L42, 14/06/17. Dark black with a decent tan cap that retains well. Nose is rich malts, spice, booze tunes, fruit loaf, tangy dark fruits. Taste comprises light roast, black peppery spice, chocolate, toffee, earthy, dirt, grains, soy xauce. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, drying close with a light alcohol kick. Ok impy ... a touch earthy for my liking.

Cask. Pours rather clear blonde , small but very stable white head, consisting of very small bubbles, which is always a good thing. Very high amount of lacing. Smell is malty, crispy, mild corn features, very mild honey notes. No noticable hops or yeast. Taste is big on aroma (didnt see that comming ) with fruityness in the likes of mandarin, peach, mildly grassy. not much bitterness is to be perceived. Maltyness is far less than what the scent would give. Some white bread trough the malts, but in a very distant level. No yeasty taste, no noticable alcohol, no errors. I would prefer it being carbonated, but for what the beer is trying to do, it does it pretty well.

Draft - Mint leaf and salty. Toes. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Intense salt and nice fresh mint leaf. Touch of soap in the finish and not as clean as the style usually is.

Draft @ ML Fontainas Bologna Night.
