Description
In 1728, Aspall was founded by Clement Chevallier in the parish of Aspall, Suffolk. While all around him were growing cereals, he chose to plant apple trees. Almost 300 years on, we’re still going against the grain, making remarkable cyder & cyder vinegars at the original Aspall Cyder House.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - golden yellow with steady carbonation. Nose - apple skins and hay. Taste - dry and slightly sour apple skins. Then bruised apple. Palate - close to medium bodied. Dry, tangy texture. Dry finish. Overall - good.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - pale golden with steady carbonation. Nose - sweet apples. Taste - more sweet apples. Not much else. Palate - light bodied and tangy. Dry-ish tangy finish. Overall - a bit single dimensional.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - a strawberry blush flavour. Nose - blackberry and strawberry as well as underpinning apple. Taste - blackberry again and maybe apple still underneath. Palate - tangy and sweet at the same time. Close to medium bodied. Sweet finish. Overall - a touch too sweet to be very drinkable.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear red with no head. Smells like cordial. Taste is sweet, blackberry. Some apple coming through. Too sweet for me.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - steady carbonation and yellow. Nose - dry wood and apple skin. Taste - apple fruit up front, then an edge of wood and apple skin. Also yeasty underlay. Palate - lovely tart finish. Tangy through middle. Close to medium bodied. Overall - good dry thirst quencher.
