On cask with Dad and Pauline, The Talbot, Ripley, Derbyshire Tuesday 2nd April 2024. Pours hazy gold, creamy white head, little bit of sherbet, actually sweeter than that, a confectionery edge, not completely my thing.

Keg draught at Blackshale Pub & Kitchen, Beeston, Notts. Light to mid-gold, fairly hazy with a lthin layer of white head. Chalky citrus aroma, a little herbal. Bittersweet taste, more herbal and vegetal character, citrus and some orchard fruit. Bitterness in the finish. Flat body. Kind of disappointing.

Keg draught at Blackshale Pub & Kitchen, Beeston, Notts. Dark brown, a little translucent.beige/khaki head. Liquorice and treacle in the aroma, some salted caramel. Sweet taste more treacle, a touch of smoke, with like cola-ish bitterness in the finish. A lot of flavours going on but they don't exactly mesh together. Still, a good beer.
