Cask @ Beerbohm, Lichfield. Pours gold, small white head. Smooth, light airy yeasty Nottingham blonde. Very simplistic and not a lot to it but fine overall.

Cask at Brewery Tap, Chester Pours a mahogany brown colour with a small cream head and good lacing. Nose is weak, vaguely Blackberries and plums. The fruitiness comes out much better in the mouth though, helped by a low carbonation. Cherries and raspberries are balanced by walnuts and chestnuts. Finish has plums and a stange buttery aftertaste (which lets it down).

Black colored, small+ tan creamy head. Chocolate, roasted malt, biscuit, medium sweet, light dark fruit, herbal and earthy moderate hops, medium bitterness, rather lasting and present for a stout. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily. Nice.

Keg at the Railway, Belper. Dark brown and opaque with a ring of beige head. Milk chocolate, black grape, a touch of salt plum in the aroma. Taste has a lovely balance: the sweetness is not so much tempered as beaten back with burnt malt and gritty bittering hops. Long finish with black cherry, nori seaweed, Finnish tar liquorice. Medium to heavy carbonation. A strange and wonderful concoction.
