From bottle. Light unclear orange color with off white head. Malty and hoppy aroma, bread, caramel, pine, citrus. Old bottle maybe. Sweet and bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

25 September 2018. At Dok Brewing Company, Ghent. Cheers to Anke & Pieter!
Pours hazy black with a lasting, foamy, beige head, irregular lacing. Aroma of walnut, grapefruit peel, lemon zest, espresso, fondant, orange drenched in chocolate, cookie... Pim's biscuits come to mind. It tastes light malty sweet, balancing fondant & nuts, building up a medium hoppy bitterness that has grapefruit, earth, toasty coffee; sour touch of lemon & blackcurrant in the back. Dry, herbal & earthy hoppy finish, lingering subtle notes of coffee, toast, nuts. Medium body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Nice stuff, lots of taste, very aromatic.

330 ml. bottle. BBF 01-01-2020 (seems excessive). Dark brown, small beige head. Nose is coffee grounds, pine resin, grainy black bread & orange peel hop. Could be bit thicker bodied but tasty roasted malts not too heavy very thick pine resin & marmaladed orange peel hop, lingering black bread malt, grain, lingering hop, lots of dark malt here. Touch of plastic. This is how Cascadian Ales / BIPA’s used to taste like in their formative days back when people still made the style. Very tasty.

Tap. Rather clear deep dark amber color with white head. Aroma is light caramel, fresh yeast, lightly yoghurty. Taste is fizzy candy, cherry candy, funky yeast. Oily mouthfeel with fizzy, but soft carbonation. A bit too much fizzycandy for me.
