Description
We are multi award winning artisan cider and perry makers.
We make whole juice draught and bottled ciders and perry using locally grown apples and pears.
Since 1956 we have been making cider at our family home and now cider mill. Set within 4 acres of heritage orchards and established gardens, we are situated on the banks of the River Severn in Awre, the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.
We are continuing to plant cider apple and perry pear trees at our new orchards in Blakeney, home of the famous Blakeney Red Perry pear.

From a bag in the box at the Green Man, Bristol 3/06/2011. Deep orange in colour and flat. Chunky, slightly sweet apple aroma with a touch of wood and cheese. Easy drinking, with some fruity apple juice, a touch of the barnyard and dryish finish. Severn Sider are a great advert for Gloucestershire cider.

I bought this 500ml bottle at Vinmonopolet just to give a cider a chance. Has got a clear, golden-brown body. Fully diminishing bubbly head. Aroma of oak and farmyard. Fresh apples and pears to a mid-sweet flavour. Oily palate. Refreshing, otherwise not for the taste buds of mine (Tromsø, 16.05.2011).

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It’s a clear one, pale golden to yellow in color and with some white bubbles on top. The aroma reminds me more of a cider than a perry. Some barnyardish notes. The flavor is much the same, more evident on pears. Dry, slightly astringent and medium bodied. Lasting, mouth puckering, drying finish. A quite pleasant one, very dry and quite quenching. 110129

Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol, shared with Joe. Nice looking label. Darkish golden still pour, slight haze. Oak casks evident in the nose and the flavour, which had some great fruit character. Nice full mouthfeel. Vague spiciness also. Really enjoyable drop of zider.
