29/3/2025. Can from HOPS, Douglas, Isle of Man. Pours black with a small tan coloured head. Aroma is woody, peaty, smoked, chocolate, truffle, caramel. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Good body, smooth, soft carbonation. Much improved on initial impressions, with mellow peatiness just at the right level to enjoy.

Аромат действительно как от какой то конфеты с вишневой глазурью, есть скорее не шоколад а шоколадная конфета. Цвет не угольный, есть просвет, тонкая кофейная пенка. Вкус немного странный, не химозный но очень конфентый, шоколад как будто не совсем естественный, много начинки с вишней, как будто слегка подсушенный, сладость умеренная. Немного не хватает глубины разнообразности. Интересно, но не лучший пастри что пил.

Аромат шоколада с апельсинами, прям и цедра и мякоть от них ощущается, но не скажу что мне по нраву это сочетание. Цвет темный, пенки почти нету. Вкус в целом такой же, но апельсины еще сильнее ощущаются, немного какао на финише, темный шоколад. Неплохой стаут, но как будто апельсины легкой химозой отдают.

Black with a khaki head that soon thins to the edge.
Nose is dark malts, smoked notes, port nip, dried fruit rinds, burnt toffee, stewed fruits.
Taste comprises plummy notes, port barrel, light smoke, whisky kiss, mellow roast, fruit cake mix.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow rising boost.
Not bad ... grew on me but as with other beers I've had from this brewer ... just a touch raw in places and lacking finesse.

Can at home, 25th January 25. Pours a thick oil black stout. Aroma is complex, dark chocolate, roasted malts, liquorice, coconut, barrel and liquor. Taste is dark chocolate, roasted malts, wood and liquor with coconut, some peat, nicely balanced and not too sweet. Great again

Can at home. Pours black, nose is chocolate, vanilla, coconut, toffee, taste is sweet toffee, creamy coconut, tonka spice, chocolate.
