General Manager and brewer, Claire Monk, established our microbrewery in 2011. It’s housed in a beautiful listed barn at the heart of this community, and has steadily grown in size to meet the demand for good local beer. We also have some fabulous neighbours in adjacent barns, including a coffee roaster, chocolatier and bakery. All our products can be found at the Welbeck Farm shop in the Welbeck Courtyard.
The two guiding principles which underpin our brewery are to produce the best quality beer in the market, and provide our customers with exemplary service every time. Our head brewer, James, brews 15,000 pints a week which we supply into pubs, restaurants and specialist bottle beer shops within a 35 mile radius.

Hand-pulled half in Ye Old Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 17th May 2014. Light golden in colour with a white crown it came across as a mildly citrus flavoured blend with not a lot going on. Pleasant and refreshing enough, but lacked punch or oomph in my opinion.

On cask at Uxbridge Arms, Chasetown - Clear golden colour with average, frothy white head. Straw and citrus aroma, spicy hints of hay, lemon and lime notes. Taste is dry and biscuity with fruity hints of lemon and lime again. Quite refreshing, but not what I’d call a Christmas Beer.

Cask, handpump at The Hunters, Horsley Woodhouse, Derbyshire Tuesday 24th December 2013 Golden with white head. Initially very sweet with vanilla flavours but the Aussie Hop duo make a late and very succesful burst and leave a long underlying bitterness, actually turns out to ge a surprisingly good and better beer thsn you expect it yo be. Gravity at Steel City Beer Festival 2013, Sheffield - Well balanced beer, deep red body, thin white head. A bit hop heavy if I’m honest, giving it a bitter citrus feel to it, but overall it wasn’t that bad. A good one to end the night on.
