Cask at GBBF 2010. A brown beer with a light tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt as well as lighter notes of coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt as well as lighter notes of oats, leading to a bitter and hoppy finish. The body is light. A bit odd.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2010, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear light to light medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, spicy, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask @ Bon Accord. Amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is slight fruity and a bit malty. Flavour is light malted, bit of fruits and a hint of dry biscuit. Slightly sweet and bitter finish.

(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 27 Nov 2010) Dark amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, orange and dusty hops. Malty, slightly fruity taste with grainy malt, orange, apricots and a mild bitterness. Rather light body, with balanced sweetness. Nice and quite enjoyable.

Pigs Ear Fest! Clear dark brown beer. Residual tan head. Light semi dry palate. Low carbonation. Tangy but mild dark malt. Hint of licorice. A little orangey bitter hop in the semi dry finish.

Gravity cask at the Pig’s Ear Beer Festival, 2010. Pours dark, ruby-brown with no head, really. Light, toasted malt aroma, some hardness and nuts. Has a light malt flavor, faintly sweet, with hints of plastic and nuts. Light bodied with no carbonation. Some light, bready malts in the finish, with earthy bitterness and hazelnut notes. Nothing special.
