Cask gravity at GBBF 2007. Copper, lasting beige head. Nutty. Like walnuts/Brazil nuts flavour. One of teh better bitters with nuts and restrained citrus. Fine.

500ml bottle. A rich chestnut colour, slightly hazy and with fine carbonation, topped by a cream head; a deep malt and raisin aroma - rather like a malted fruit loaf;smooth and juicy in the mouth, with a lingering juiciness developing over a spicy hop finish. An excellent example of an ESB.

Bottle, at the Renaissance Hotel, South Normanton. Ruby red with a thick off-white head; rich roasted malt aroma with a touch of raisin; dry and fruity in the mouth, full-bodied and warming; a long lingering bitter aftertaste.

500ml bottle. Very deep chestnut colour with lasting beige head. Yeast bready and rich malt aroma. Good malt in mouth with some juicy raisin, good malts. Finish has more juicy rich malt with a bit of spice. Yep, not at all bad as an ESB. Drinkable and the juicy rich malt is very good.
