Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 6th March 2016. Hazy amber with thin decaying off-white film. Yeasty, fruity aroma. Herby, grassy and intensely fruity in-mouth with delicate Belgian spiciness. An apple touch. Fruity finish. Light body and mouthfeel.

Cask gravity at Craft 100. It pours near black with no head to speak of. The aroma is charred wood, umami, liquorice, chocolate, spice, rocky road and tobacco. The taste is dry, spicy ginger, charred wood, hot chilli heat, burnt tires, raw alcohol and chocolate with a dry, spiced finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit too spiced and rough around the edges for me.
