A beautiful, reddish beer with a weak and blond head. Aroma of nuts, bread, wood, yeast, some citrusfruits and hint of roastiness. Surprisingly, quite fresh, bread and slightly roasted taste, fruits and drying wood. Medium bodied, smooth and slippery to drink. The personal and nicely complex beer.

Cask at the William Webb Ellis (JDW), Twickenham - 02/03/13. Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin off white head that retains well. Nose is dark malts, fruits, light hops. Taste comprises much the same, apple, light sugar. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, bitter finish. Average - have had in the past and now having rated it confirms not one to revisit unless its the only beer on!

On cask @ The Haymarket Bar. Pours amber with a decent head. The nose has apples and roasted malt. The taste is more of the same although a little astringent at the end. The palate is medium bodied and textured and again I would say it needs a cleaner finish. Overall, solid but not special.

A golden beer with only a weak and blond head. Aroma is mild, but nice, fruits, berrytoffee, some citrus and wood. Taste starts with a nice bitterness, biscuits, wood, hint of toffee and lemon. Unfortunately, the aftertaste is very musty. Almost medium bodied, fresh to drink with balanced carbonation. Not very succesfully beer for my opinion, more freshness would be needed, the medium quality beer.

50cl bottle from Varnaveien mineralvann. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Lightly malty aroma with caramel and notes of fruits and hops. Hints of roasty notes too. Sweet and lightly malty and fruity with mild hoppy bitterness in the finish. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Quite well balaced and easy to drink. Light to medium body with average carbonation. A bit weak in flavour and slightly boring, but still refreshing and nice enough.

50cl bottle (4,2% ABV) from Varnaveien mineralvann. Pours deep golden with a white head. Aroma is lightly malty with caramel, fruits and some hops. Hint of green apples too. A bit weak in flavour, almost reminds me of flavourful lager. Sweet and grainy with notes of caramel and a pretty light bitterness in the finish. Fairly easy to drink, but quite boring.

Cask @ Haymarket, Edinburgh [050213]
Light amber, clear, dense white head, some lacing
Aroma of soft fruity malts, slight floral note, light sweet fruits
Taste of light caramel, touch of biscuit, soft fruity malts, touch of honey, its ok
Palate - thin to medium body, some oiliness. Finish - some buttery biscuit in the finish that was quite pleasant
Overall - I found this quite a nicely made mellow bitter for the abv

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 12.11.2013
Aroma has lots of toffee, English hops, some hay and distant fruity notes. Flavour has toffee, English hops, some hay, herbal notes and some citrus. Too much English toffee here.
