Cask at the Barrel Vault, St Pancras on 9th May 2026. Almost clear amber with shallow off-white foam and partial, clumpy lacing. Leafy hops aroma. Nutty malts, leafy hops and fruitiness in-mouth, and a rounded complex finish. Plenty of body and an engaging mouthfeel.

Cask at the Barrel Vault, St Pancras on 4th April 2026. Lightly hazy golden amber with shallow off-white foam and initial lacing. Sweet malt aroma. Tangy citrus fruits in-mouth with leafy and grassy hops. Some bitter grasses and leafy hops in the finish. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Cask at the Swan, Farnborough. Gotta be a rebadge but have added it so that it can be aliased one day. Opaque copper gold. Foamy white head. Aroma is doughy, grainy with floral notes and a slight citrus sourness. Flavourwise it has a butter streak over light sourness. Develops carmal sweetness and malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Pleasent if unexciting cask stuff.

Cask at Swan, Farnborough (10 min walk from my new office but my first visit since before lockdown). Opaque cipper gold. Foamy white head. Aroma has light citrus and caramel over a grainy base. Flavourwise has a citrus if light sour streak over chewy malts. Some bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Typically unexciting Gold.

Pint, draught at The Old Swan, Close to clear golden body, declining white head leaving spotty lacing on the glassware. Modest aromas of pale malts and grassy hops. Short moments of grapefruit, orange and pale malts to the taste character. Short lived finish with a citric note. Easy going - okay with my fish 'n chips. (Kensington, London 01.03.2026).
